Celebrate Love in Haddonfield
Celebrate Valentine’s Day at the “Open Heart” sculpture in Downtown Haddonfield! Take a selfie with your loved one – partner, kids, families, friends, and pets – and enjoy chocolate, doughnuts, and much more!
Haddonfield Outdoor Sculpture Trust (HOST), a nonprofit art organization committed to bringing accessible outdoor art to the Borough of Haddonfield, is centering the day’s activities at “Low-Poly Open Heart,” the bright red laser-cut aluminum sculpture by artist M.L. Duffy (located near Tanner Street intersection at 115 Kings Highway East), one of more than 20 sculptures around town.
Post your photos on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter and be sure to tag @host08033 in order to get treats courtesy of Duffy’s Fine Chocolates while they last.
For more fun, post your photos with tags @host08033 @haddonfielddonut and #iHeartHaddonfield to receive a gourmet donut for only $1 (limit to one customer per group) at the Haddonfield Donut Company around the corner at 14 Tanner Street from 7 AM to 6 PM.
Looking for something more formal? Mayor Neal Rochford will be available to perform marriages and vow renewals from 5-7 PM at “Open Heart” or to congratulate couples downtown for a Valentine’s Day engagement or other special occasion.
“These events, coupled with Downtown Haddonfield’s wealth of dining and shopping options, make Haddonfield the perfect place to spend Valentine’s Day,” says Stuart Harting, HOST Chair. “We invite everyone to enjoy the beauty of these sculptures — all free!”
Since its installation last year, “Open Heart” has become a popular selfie location, along with all of the other sculptures all around town, including the newest, “Ballerina.” Learn more about HOST and see all sculpture locations at www.haddonfieldsculpture.org and on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter at @HOST08033.
